Singapore added two major visitor attractions in 2025, although one has since expanded and changed its name. Singapore Oceanarium, formerly S.E.A. Rainforest Wild Asia opened at Mandai in March 2025 before becoming the western zone of the expanded Rainforest Wild Adventure in May 2026.

The two attractions offer very different experiences. Singapore Oceanarium is indoors and focuses on marine life, immersive exhibits and conservation education. Rainforest Wild Adventure takes you outdoors through elevated walkways, forest trails and cave-inspired environments, with optional adventure activities available along the way.

Singapore Oceanarium: what to see

Singapore Oceanarium is located at 24 Sentosa Gateway, Sentosa Island, Singapore 098137, within Resorts World Sentosa.

The attraction has 22 themed zones and is home to more than 100,000 marine animals representing over 1,000 species. Its exhibits combine marine habitats with digital displays, sound, interactive features and educational storytelling.

One of the main highlights is the Open Ocean, where a 36-metre-wide viewing panel looks into a large habitat containing reef manta rays, zebra sharks and thousands of other marine animals. Other zones explore coral reefs, Singapore’s coastal habitats, prehistoric oceans, deep-sea environments and the effects of human activity on marine ecosystems.

Bookable experiences at Singapore Oceanarium

Animal Spotlight: Sea Jellies

This 45-minute programme takes visitors behind the scenes to learn how aquarists care for and breed sea jellies. It includes a visit to the sea-jelly nursery and information about feeding, husbandry and the animals’ life cycle.

Singapore Oceanarium Insider Experience

The Insider Experience is an expert-led programme lasting approximately 3.5 hours. It includes guided access to selected areas, additional information about the Oceanarium’s animals and conservation work, a behind-the-scenes view of the Open Ocean habitat and a dolphin encounter..

Dolphin Exploration

Rainforest Wild Adventure at Mandai: what to expect

Rainforest Wild Asia opened on 12 March 2025. When a second zone opened on 29 May 2026, Mandai combined the two areas under the new name Rainforest Wild Adventure. The original Rainforest Wild Asia attraction is now known as Rainforest Wild Adventure West.

The expanded attraction covers approximately 20 hectares, has two zones—East and West—and is home to 58 animal species.

The West zone retains the original rainforest experience, including Malayan tigers, Malayan sun bears, François’ langurs and siamangs. Visitors can follow an accessible elevated walkway or choose more rugged forest paths and cave-inspired routes.

Activities at Rainforest Wild Adventure

Originally opened as Rainforest Wild Asia, the attraction now forms the West zone of the expanded Rainforest Wild Adventure. Across the East and West zones, visitors can choose between accessible walkways, rugged forest trails, scheduled ranger talks and adventure activities.

These experiences do not all follow the same admission rules. Some are part of a standard visit, Adventure+ activities have limited uses included with selected tickets, and Black Adventures require separate booking and payment.

Explore the rainforest at your own pace

Several experiences can be enjoyed as part of a regular park visit:

• Elevated Walkway: This barrier-free route offers views across the rainforest canopy. It is suitable for wheelchairs, strollers, families with young children and visitors who prefer an easier walk.
• Forest Treks: The trails include boulder crossings, fallen logs, suspended walkways and uneven forest paths. Routes vary in difficulty, so check the map before choosing one.
• The Cavern: Walk through a 220-metre cave-inspired environment containing rock formations, tunnels and cave-dwelling animals.
• Animal spotting: Wildlife can be seen across areas such as The Karsts, Forest Floor, Rock Cascade, The Canopy, Watering Hole and The Cavern. Sightings are not guaranteed because animals can move around their habitats.

Rainforest Wild Adventure currently has nine Adventure+ activities across its two zones. The number included with admission can depend on the ticket and visit date, so check the live conditions before booking.

Adventure+ activities have individual height, weight and participation requirements. Some require a harness and completed waiver. Covered shoes are compulsory.

Ranger talks and animal learning

Scheduled ranger talks provide a more structured way to learn about the animals. Sessions may cover species such as Malayan tigers, Malayan sun bears, langurs, deer and Southern River Terrapins.

Talk subjects and times can change, so check the daily schedule or Mandai app when you arrive. The app also provides updates about animal sightings and activity waiting times.

Remove Rainforest Wild AR Venture and Flexible Habitat Range from the original list unless they appear on the live programme for the intended publication date. They are not listed among the attraction’s main current activities.

Black Adventure experiences

Visitors looking for a longer and more demanding challenge can book one of two guided Black Adventures. These experiences are not included with standard park admission.

Wild Apex Adventure

This two-hour guided experience combines hiking, rock-face climbing, ladders and suspended bridges around The Karsts. Participants remain secured by a harness and must meet the applicable height, weight and health requirements.

Wild Cavern Adventure

Wild Cavern Adventure is also a two-hour experience, not three hours. Participants use headlamps while climbing rock formations, scaling ladders, crossing a cable line and abseiling inside The Cavern.

Both Black Adventures require a separate ticket, a safety briefing and suitable sports clothing. Participants must wear closed-toe sports shoes and meet the stated physical, height and weight requirements. Advance booking is recommended because sessions operate at set times and have limited capacity.

Regular days are generally weekdays excluding public holidays. Peak prices apply on weekends and public holidays.

How to get to Singapore Oceanarium

Singapore Oceanarium is at Resorts World Sentosa. The Sentosa Express is usually the simplest public transport option.

By MRT and Sentosa Express

Take the North-East Line or Circle Line to HarbourFront MRT Station. Enter VivoCity, go to Level 3 and board the Sentosa Express. Alight one stop later at Resorts World Station, then follow the signs towards Singapore Oceanarium.

By bus

Two useful bus options are:

• RWS8: Board near HarbourFront MRT or VivoCity and alight at the Resorts World Sentosa B1 Transport Hub.
• Bus 123: Alight at the Resorts World Sentosa transport hub and follow the signs to Level 1.

Services such as 188R and NR6 should not be presented as primary daily options because their operating days and times may be limited.

By cable car

The cable car offers a scenic journey but is not the most direct route. From HarbourFront MRT Exit B, walk to HarbourFront Tower II and take the cable car into Sentosa. Follow the current on-island directions to connect with the Sentosa Express, then alight at Resorts World Station.

Check the latest route before travelling because Sentosa’s cable-car stations and transfer arrangements can change.

By car or taxi

Drive through Sentosa Gateway and follow the signs into the Resorts World Sentosa car park. For the most convenient access, park at B1 East. Taxi and ride-hailing passengers can use the B1 Casino entrance drop-off point.

How to get to Rainforest Wild Adventure

Rainforest Wild Adventure has two entrances:

• West zone: 20 Mandai Lake Road, Singapore 729825
• East zone: 80 Mandai Lake Road, Singapore 729826

You can begin at either zone with a full-park ticket.

M2 Khatib Bus

Take the North-South Line to Khatib MRT Station and board the M2 Khatib Bus from Exit A.

The journey takes approximately 20 minutes. The service currently operates daily from 8:30 am until midnight, with buses generally arriving every 15 minutes during attraction hours. The fare is S$2.50, while children under seven travel free.

MRT and public bus

Other public transport combinations include:

• Choa Chu Kang MRT: Continue on Bus 927.
• Ang Mo Kio MRT: Continue on Bus 138.
• Springleaf MRT: Continue on Bus 138.

For the West zone, use the Bird Paradise stops. For the East zone, alight at the Singapore Zoo stop.

Taxi, ride-hailing or car

A taxi or ride-hailing service is the most direct option from central Singapore. Drivers can use the separate East or West drop-off points. Visitors driving to the West zone should use the Mandai Wildlife West car park, while those starting in the East zone should use the Mandai Wildlife East car park.

Travelling between the two zones

Complimentary M1 and M2 services connect the East and West areas. You can also use the 800-metre sheltered walking and cycling path. The walk takes around 20 minutes.

The official recommended visit duration is approximately 3.5 hours, not two to three hours. Allow more time if you have booked an immersive programme or want to attend scheduled presentations and feeding sessions.

The Oceanarium is indoors and air-conditioned. A lightweight layer may be useful, particularly for children or visitors who become cold easily. The attraction has ramps, lifts, accessible restrooms, nursing rooms, prayer rooms and wheelchair- and stroller-accessible routes.

Best time to visit Rainforest Wild Adventure

A weekday morning is a practical choice because temperatures are generally more comfortable and you have more time to explore both zones before the 5:00 pm last-entry time.

Allow at least four to five hours for both zones. A full day is more realistic if you want to complete several forest trails and Adventure+ activities.
