Using A Rosary During Prayer

There is one problem with both meditation and prayer, and that is that when you dive deep into prayer you lose track of time and don’t know if four minutes or twenty minutes have passed? Because of this, you often “come back” and look at the clock to see how much time has passed and it is this thinking about time that prevents you from sinking deeper into prayer. The rosary solves this problem.

You can hold the rosary in one hand and feel it easily under your fingers when you make a circle. Let’s say I have a rosary with 40 small knots and every time I repeat the prayer in myself, I move it by one knot. It takes me about 5-8 minutes to make one lap. In my case, it is enough to turn 2-3 circles, which is 12-18 minutes during prayer.

The rosary somehow gives you security so you are able to go deeper into prayer without thinking about time. In a way, the rosary during prayer becomes a ribbon that we hold to return to reality.
